Soma Kwa Furaha Initiative

The Soma Kwa Furaha Initiative (SKFI) is a Tanzania based non-governmental organization founded in 2021. We advocate for the Education, Health and Empowerment of communities to enhance better quality education for a brighter future.

We envision a healthy, educated and self-reliant community. We improve access to quality education, enabling a friendly educational environment and better healthcare, especially for vulnerable children and children with special educational needs and disabilities.

Our Team

Micky Millian

Program manager

Micky Millian

Micky is a dedicated Development Practitioner and Social Worker with a passion for creating positive social change. In his role as Program Manager Micky is responsible for overseeing all activities within the NGO.

Clara Nuru Ayoub

Clara’s role involves creating the bridge between the local community and the NGO. This involves outreach work in the local communities to identify their needs. Clara also deals with receiving and accommodating volunteers.

Project officer

Antony Muhehe

Antony deals primarily with project identification and planning. He will put forward ideas for new programs and ensure they are effectively planned and run on schedule.

Using his experience as an Operations and Maintenance Manage Stephen provides advice on the general management of the NGO and associated projects

Emma Conroy

Based from the UK, Emma manages the SKFI website and provides advice to the NGO on how to maximise our online presence. Emma originally came as a volunteer but decided to stay on as a permanent member of the team.
